Shade is out of GCh Shinto's Whiskey River and Wild Women "Whiskey" of Shinto Akitas and Ch Zhozefina of Tamonten to Alchemist "Marta." Shade made her show debut at the National Championship Dog Show sponsored by Royal Canin in Orlando FL. Having never stepped foot in a show ring prior, for 6 days straight Shade won. She took home WB in a beautiful line up of dogs, as well as a few BOW and BOS over the course of the cluster. She goes home from the show with both majors and just needing 3 singles to finish her championship. We are so excited about such a rocking start to this girl's show career.

Unfortunately, even in preservation bred litters out of health tested parents, things can and do pop up. In an effort to remain transparent and honest about the ins and outs of ethical preservation breeding and an attempt to produce the most sound and healthy puppies here at Morrow Akitas, we are saddened to share that Shade will not be a part of our breeding program. We were devastated by the results of Shade's health testing and the realization that she will not be a part of our program moving forward, but we are confident Shade will live a long and happy life as a beloved companion for the right home.
