Olive

Chestnut's Little Xochiquetzal BCAT

Olive is a funny looking Akita, isn't she? We imported Olive from our good friend Gesa Waldecker of Chestnut's Little Indians American Bulldogs in Germany. Despite the aesthetic differences, Olive fits in to our life and plans absolutely perfectly. While we do participate in some dog sports and work with our Akitas, there was an avenue that we wouldn't dare touch with the Akita breed. That was the world of bitework and bitesport. (Want to know why? Check out the FAQ section of our webpage) German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois rule the fields in this department, but we don't mesh well with herding breeds and didn't feel one would fit in our home. Loving the look, temperament and tenacity of the American Bulldog, we set out to find a kennel that produced Bulldogs with undeniable type, health, temperament and a working capability to excel alongside the herding breeds. As far as breeding programs go - in ethics, dedication, support, and proving your dogs - we should all strive to be like Gesa. We are so excited with Olive and the potential she has shown and the 110% she gives us working every day & we are so grateful to her breeder for entrusting us with her. Olive is actively showing in the conformation ring as well as training with a French Ring bitesport club here in middle Tennessee. We are so excited for the bright future ahead of our little white dog.
